Terms of Service

Please read these Terms of Service carefully before using the Kuri app. By creating an account or using the app in any way, you agree to be bound by these terms.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Kuri, you confirm that you are at least 13 years old and agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the app.

2. User Accounts

You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and password. You must provide accurate information when creating your account. You may not share your account with others or create accounts on behalf of someone else.

3. User Content

Kuri allows you to post reviews, photos, ratings, and other content ("User Content"). You retain ownership of your User Content. By posting it, you grant Kuri a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to display and distribute it within the app.

You are solely responsible for the content you post, including its accuracy, legality, and appropriateness.

4. Community Standards — Prohibited Conduct

You agree not to post content or engage in behaviour that:

• Is false, misleading, or fraudulent.
• Is abusive, harassing, threatening, or hateful toward any individual or group.
• Contains spam, unsolicited promotions, or repetitive content.
• Contains sexually explicit or graphic violent material.
• Violates the privacy or intellectual property rights of others.
• Impersonates any person or entity.
• Attempts to manipulate rankings, leaderboards, or the ELO system through inauthentic activity.

We reserve the right to remove any content that violates these standards and to suspend or terminate accounts responsible for repeated violations.

5. Reporting and Blocking

Users may report posts that violate these standards using the report feature in the app. You may also block other users to prevent their content from appearing in your feed. We review reports and take appropriate action, which may include content removal, warnings, or account termination.

6. Subscriptions and Billing

Kuri offers an optional Kuri Pro subscription that unlocks premium features. Subscriptions are billed monthly at the price displayed at the time of purchase.

• Auto-renewal: Subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each billing period unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the renewal date.
• Cancellation: You can cancel your subscription at any time through your Apple App Store account settings (Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions). Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period; you retain access to premium features until then.
• Refunds: All purchases are processed by Apple. Refund requests must be made directly to Apple through their standard refund process.
• Price changes: We will notify you of any price changes before they take effect.

You may also unlock additional app features at no charge by inviting friends through the in-app referral programme. Referral rewards are subject to availability and may be modified or discontinued at any time.

7. Intellectual Property

The Kuri app, including its design, branding, ranking algorithms, and original content, is the sole property of Kuri and is protected by applicable copyright and intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, or distribute any part of the app without our written permission.

8. Account Deletion and Termination

You may delete your account at any time from within the app (Profile → Settings → Delete Account). This permanently removes all your data.

We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms, with or without prior notice depending on the severity of the violation.

9. Disclaimers

Kuri is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. Restaurant rankings and scores reflect the opinions of individual users and do not constitute endorsements by Kuri. We are not responsible for the accuracy of user-submitted reviews.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Kuri shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of India.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms. We will notify you of material changes by updating the date at the top of this page.
